During our limited release in May, critics and audiences agreed that this year’s best sports movie is also a great family film! Just check out some of the reviews below:
It’s amazing to see everyone responding so well to the film, that means the world to us. Even if you’re not a lacrosse fan, you’ll definitely love this feel-good, family friendly underdog story.
If you have yet to watch Crooked Arrows yourself, find a theater near you, check it out and let us know how you liked it!]]>
People of all ages who have already seen the film have said nothing but positive things about the film.
Inside Lacrosse mentions, “…the lacrosse action is excellent, and there’s a lot of it. As a lacrosse fan, it’s fun to watch. As a non-lacrosse fan, it definitely showcases the game as fast, up-tempo and exciting.”
We’ve also received very positive reactions from major publications such as the Boston Globe. The Globe’s Loren King explains, “Crooked Arrows scores as a family film…” that is “…unique and engaging.”.
In addition, she says, “What “Cool Runnings” did for bobsledding and “Mighty Ducks” for youth hockey, “Crooked Arrows” should do for lacrosse. A family film with some terrific action sequences.”
The buzz on Facebook and Twitter from those who have seen the movie so far have also expressed very positive reviews as well, and some are already excited to see it again!
In case you weren’t able to make any of the premieres, here’s some footage from the Baltimore premiere on Inside Lacrosse TV.
And to take you into the weekend before you watch the movie, here’s a featurette about the story of Crooked Arrows:
Don’t forget to get your family, team or group together and come watch Crooked Arrows this weekend! Click here to see where it’s opening near you!
Do we find actors and teach them how to play lacrosse, or do we find lacrosse players and teach them how to act?
It was extremely important for all of us to have the lacrosse action in the film be as real as possible, so we went on a country wide journey to find great lacrosse players to star in the movie who could properly display and showcase the sport of lacrosse on the big screen.
Check out this 5-minute featurette all about the authenticity of lacrosse in Crooked Arrows, plus some real footage from the movie and some interesting behind the scenes stories.
