Gil Birmingham Joins Crooked Arrows in Principal Role

Posted: 19th July 2011

Gil Birmingham Joins Crooked ArrowsThe principal cast for Crooked Arrows is quickly coming together as we approach our first day of filming on August 1st.

We previously announced that Brandon Routh, who played Superman in Superman Returns, will be playing our leading man, Joe Logan. Today, we’re happy to announce that Ben Logan, Joe’s father in our story, will be played by the very talented and highly respected Gil Birmingham.

Gil Birmingham has appeared in over 40 movie and film productions, best known for his work in the Twilight movies, starring in each movie of the series as Billy Black – Jacob’s father. He will be a great addition to our cast as he is an American actor of Comanche ancestry.

Auditions for the lacrosse teams and players in the film are now over, and we look forward to publishing a formal announcement and feature of those selected in the next few days, so stay posted.

We hope you are as excited as we are!

If you haven’t already, please join the tribe and come say hi to us on Facebook!

  1. Very exciting news!!!

  2. Mr. Birmingham brings such depth to all his characters. He has an air of authority in all his roles; and anchor for the rest of the cast. I’m looking forward to “Wolf Daddy” getting a chance to really “go in” artistically and capture a leading role.

  3. Rock it Gil Birmingham rock it-JoJo WAR DRUMMER has your back!

  4. Met Gil along with other friends at Indian Market Fest. In Arlington, Tx a few yrs ago..very nice guy glad to hear about new movie. Wish to say hello and hope all is well. Friends with his other peoples, Steve Reevis, Moses Brings Plenty, Irene Bedard… August Schullenberg… see ya soon.. Liz*
